Il campo di concentramento di Bad Sulza fu gestito da ottobre 1933 fino al 1 agosto 1937 in un vecchio hotel della città termale di Bad Sulza.
Il campo di concentramento fu gestito e finanziato dal Land della Turingia fino al 1 luglio 1936. Il responsabile era il ministro degli Interni della Turingia, che ordinava anche l'ingresso dei prigionieri. L'istituzione predecessore era il campo di concentramento di Nohra. Il comandante del campo era l'ufficiale di polizia Carl Haubenreißer. Il comando del campo era occupato dalla polizia statale, mentre la squadra di guardia era fornita dalla SA.
