Bad Bramstedt è una piccola città nel distretto di Segeberg. Bad Bramstedt è riconosciuta dallo stato come una località termale torbosa e si trova nel mezzo delle pianure alluvionali di Holstein, nella parte meridionale dello Schleswig-Holstein. Il titolo di "Bad" lo porta dal 1910.
Bad Bramstedt si trova a 49 chilometri a sud-ovest di Kiel, 54 chilometri a ovest di Lübeck e 42 chilometri a nord di Amburgo lungo l'antica strada degli Ossen. La Altona-Kieler Chaussee attraversava il paese. Questa strada di circa 94 chilometri è stata costruita tra il 1830 e il 1832. Nel paese, dalla confluenza dell'Osterau e dell'Hudau nasce la Bramau.
