Il Blausteinsee – ufficialmente centro di svago e ricreazione Blausteinsee – è un lago artificiale di circa 100 ettari e fino a 46 metri di profondità situato a nord di Eschweiler, nella regione urbana di Aachen, nella Germania occidentale. È stato creato nell'ambito del recupero dell'ex area mineraria di lignite Zukunft nel bacino carbonifero della Renania, mediante il riempimento del bacino di estrazione con acqua superficiale e oggi funge da area di svago per le città circostanti. Il suo livello dell'acqua si trova a 129 m s.l.m. Il volume totale è di circa 25 milioni di metri cubi. Il riempimento è iniziato nel 1994. Ogni anno vengono pompati 3,8 milioni di m³ di acqua dai pozzi di drenaggio della miniera di Inden nel lago, affinché questo mantenga il suo livello attuale. Secondo quanto affermato dalla regione urbana di Aachen, questo rifornimento con acqua di drenaggio sarà necessario fino all'anno 2061.
