Il Palais Minckwitz è un palazzo cittadino della metà del XVIII secolo situato nella Neustadt di Dessau. Prende il nome dal sesto proprietario, un membro della famiglia von Minckwitz.
La città di Dessau ha perso quasi tutta la sua struttura architettonica storica durante le notti di bombardamento della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Demolizioni giustificate ideologicamente dei pochi monumenti preservati nel centro hanno creato spazio per una nuova città socialista. Nel centro urbano, solo Johannisstraße ha sopportato quasi inalterata tutte le metamorfosi fino al 1990. Qui sono rimasti il Palais Bose e il Palais Minckwitz, situati sull'ex Neumarkt. Nel frattempo, è la casa più antica completamente conservata. Si trova nella Neustadt iniziata alla fine del XVII secolo, di fronte alla chiesa luterana di San Giovanni, costruita tra il 1688 e il 1702 secondo i progetti dell'olandese Cornelis Ryckwaert.
