Il monastero di San Giacomo a Pegau era un monastero benedettino situato nella città di Pegau. Era una delle fondazioni monastiche più antiche della Sassonia. Divenne noto soprattutto grazie ai cosiddetti Annales Pegaviensis, le annali di Pegau, risalenti all'anno 1155, che rappresentavano una significativa storiografia medievale.
Il margravio di Meissen e della Lusazia Wiprecht von Groitzsch fondò nel 1091 il monastero benedettino di San Giacomo a Pegau. Lo progettò come monastero di famiglia e luogo di sepoltura. Cinque anni dopo, il monastero fu consacrato.
