Het klooster St. Jakob in Pegau was een Benediktijnenklooster dat zich in de stad Pegau bevond. Het was een van de oudste kloosterstichtingen in Saksen. Het werd vooral bekend door de zogenaamde Annales Pegaviensis, de Pegause Annalen, uit het jaar 1155, die een belangrijke middeleeuwse geschiedschrijving waren.
De markgraaf van Meißen en Lausitz, Wiprecht von Groitzsch, richtte in het jaar 1091 het Benediktijnenklooster St. Jakob in Pegau op. Hij plande het als huiskloster en grafplaats. Vijf jaar later werd het klooster gewijd.
