Radio Hamburg è una radio privata che ha iniziato a trasmettere il 31 dicembre 1986 come primo operatore radiofonico privato autorizzato di Amburgo.
Le stanze della redazione e dello studio si trovavano fino ad agosto 2008 nella St. Petri Haus in Speersort 10. Dal 27 agosto, le trasmissioni avvengono dal Semperhaus in Spitalerstraße 10, a circa 500 metri dalla vecchia sede. Il vecchio edificio radiofonico è stato demolito nel marzo 2009. Radio Hamburg trasmette insieme a Hamburg Zwei nello stesso edificio radiofonico.
