Il Mariengymnasium Arnsberg è un liceo statale autorizzato sotto la responsabilità dell'arcidiocesi di Paderborn ad Arnsberg.
La scuola è stata fondata nel 1889 dalle Suore della Misericordia di Nostra Signora come scuola superiore cattolica per ragazze. In questo modo, insieme al Gymnasium Laurentianum, è stata aperta una prima scuola superiore per ragazze nella città. Le suore acquisirono a questo scopo un edificio costruito circa tra il 1818 e il 1822 nel quartiere neoclassico della città di Arnsberg. Nel 1898, le suore fecero costruire due ulteriori ali dell'edificio e una cappella neogotica verso il retro in direzione del fiume Ruhr. Questa contiene una notevole Madonna con Bambino su una luna crescente. Ulteriori costruzioni sorsero intorno al 1903. Il complesso del monumento architettonico comprende anche un padiglione giardino realizzato in epoca neoclassica.
