Il castello di Caspersbroich è un castello situato nella valle di Itter, nel quartiere di Ohligs a Solingen. Oltre a ciò, i proprietari del castello possedevano i Kotten soggetti a feudo a Buschenhaus, Hagscheid, Sombers, Hülsberg e Zwengenberg. Fino al 1808, Caspersbroich faceva parte della parrocchia di Wald.
Intorno all'anno 1220, un vassallo del conte Engelberto il Santo si stabilì lungo l'Itter, rese paludosa la zona agricolarmente utilizzabile e costruì una casa padronale. Nel 1438, il nobile Caspar von Pertsdorf acquistò la proprietà e la trasformò in un castello per cavalieri. Dal 1460 al 1480, il cavaliere Pertsdorf presiedette all'ufficio di Solingen.
