Il Neues Palais è un castello che si trova nella parte occidentale del parco di Sanssouci a Potsdam. La costruzione fu iniziata nel 1763, dopo il termine della guerra dei sette anni, sotto Federico II di Prussia e terminata già nel 1769. Si tratta dell'ultimo importante castello del barocco prussiano. Federico non l'aveva progettato come residenza reale, ma come castello per gli ospiti della sua corte. Solo il Kaiser Guglielmo II per primo usò il Neues Palais come residenza estiva dal 1888 al 1918.
Il castello con le sue numerose sale, le grandiose gallerie e gli sfarzosi appartamenti, si rifà alla Reggia di Versailles. Esso è posto sotto tutela monumentale .
