Il castello di Uebigau è il castello più recente nel distretto di Elbe-Elster e si trova nel centro storico di Uebigau. È stato costruito in stile neobarocco e presenta elementi dello stile Liberty. Dietro l'edificio si estende un parco del castello di circa due ettari risalente al XIX secolo.
Nel 1864, l'imprenditore edile berlinese Johannes August Schmidt acquistò la tenuta dal precedente proprietario Heinrich Pinkerneil, fece demolire una vecchia casa e nel 1864/65 fece costruire una villa come "costruzione abusiva".
