Le château d’Uebigau est le plus jeune château du quartier Elbe-Elster et est situé dans le centre-ville historique d’Uebigau. Il a été construit dans le style néo-baroque et présente des éléments de l’Art nouveau. Derrière le bâtiment se trouve un parc de château d’environ deux hectares du 19ème siècle.
En 1864, l’entrepreneur berlinois Johannes August Schmidt acquit la 2ème partie du manoir de l’ancien propriétaire Heinrich Pinkerneil, fit démolir un ancien bâtiment résidentiel et en 1864/65, un manoir fut construit en tant que « bâtiment noir ».
