Il ginnasio "F. F. Runge" di Oranienburg è una scuola pubblica gestita dal distretto di Oberhavel. È il ginnasio più antico della regione e comprende le classi dalla 7 alla 12. Il patrono è il chimico Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge, che ha lavorato e vissuto a Oranienburg. Il motto del ginnasio è "Tradizione – Diversità scientifica – Tolleranza." L'edificio principale è oggi sotto protezione monumentale.
L'associazione Aktion Courage ha conferito al ginnasio Runge nel 2002 il titolo di Scuola senza Razzismo – Scuola con Coraggio. La relativa sponsorizzazione della scuola è stata assunta dal direttore del Museo Ebraico di Berlino e cittadino onorario di Oranienburg, W. Michael Blumenthal. Nel 2004 la scuola ha avuto successo in una competizione della casa editrice UNICUM ed è stata dichiarata Scuola dell'Anno 2004. Per supportare il ginnasio, nel 1992 è stata fondata l'Associazione degli Amici del Ginnasio F. F. Runge di Oranienburg e.V.
