Il luogo Löpten, con una superficie di circa 26,13 km² e 329 abitanti, fa parte del comune di Groß Köris nel distretto di Dahme-Spreewald in Brandeburgo.
Il quartiere si trova a sud-est del centro e lì a sud del quartiere Klein Köris. A nord-est si trova il centro abitato di Neubrück. Seguono, in senso orario, il quartiere Hermsdorf del comune di Münchehofe, Märkisch Buchholz e Halbe a sud e - separata fisicamente dall'autostrada federale 13 - la città di Teupitz. La strada federale 179 attraversa la zona nella parte orientale in direzione nord-sud. A Löpten appartengono i centri abitati Forsthaus Löpten, Hammer, Löpten-Nord e Löpten-Süd. A nord si trova il monumento naturale Siebsluch che confina con Löpten.
