Krippehna si trova nel triangolo delle città di Eilenburg, Bad Düben e Delitzsch. Il luogo non si trova su nessuna strada classificata, ma ci sono collegamenti locali per Noitzsch, Zschepplin, Naundorf e Wölkau. Un piccolo affluente del Leine scorre attraverso il luogo.
Krippehna è un villaggio a schiera. Fino al 1815 apparteneva all'amministrazione sassone o regia di Eilenburg. A seguito delle decisioni del Congresso di Vienna, il luogo passò alla Prussia e nel 1816 fu assegnato al distretto di Delitzsch nel distretto governativo di Merseburg nella provincia di Sassonia, a cui appartenne fino al 1952.
