Schierke è una frazione della città di Wernigerode nel distretto di Harz in Sassonia-Anhalt ed è l'ultima località sotto la cima del Brocken. È riconosciuta come località di cura dal 2002.
Schierke si trova nell'Harz. Confina a nord con il Parco Nazionale dell'Harz e si trova nel Parco Naturale dell'Harz/Sassonia-Anhalt, a sud-est del Brocken, a sud-ovest del Hohnekamm, a nord del Barenberg e a est-nord-est del gruppo montuoso di Wurmberg, Großem Winterberg e Kleinem Winterberg. Si trova a un'altitudine di circa 600-650 m s.l.m. nella valle del Kalte Bode, che a sud della località di Elendstal è designata come area protetta. Il villaggio vicino a sud-sud-est è Elend.
