Oedelsheim si trova nella parte meridionale del Weserbergland, sul versante meridionale boscoso della catena montuosa Kiffing e sui versanti settentrionali boscosi del Bramwald, nella valle dell'Oberweser. Il paese si trova direttamente sulla sponda destra o orientale del fiume Weser. Dall'altra parte del fiume si erge la ricca di boschi Reinhardswald e a nord di essa si trova il Solling.
