La chiesa di Santa Edvige è un edificio di culto cattolico romano nel quartiere Altenessen di Essen.
La chiesa di Santa Edvige è stata costruita dal 1931 al 1932. L'architetto era Wilhelm Schneider. Si tratta di un edificio in mattoni a sala con una parte centrale elevata coperta da un tetto a padiglione e un coro rettangolare ritirato. Sui lati lunghi si trovano finestre strette a arco progettate dall'artista Jochem Poensgen negli anni 1967 e 1969, con cornici in pietra su un lato e in mattoni dall'altro. Nella base ci sono altre finestre tripartite con una griglia originale. La sacrestia è stata costruita a angolo retto rispetto alla chiesa, a essa si unisce il campanile con un ingresso ad arco e aperture sonore ad arco nella parte superiore. A questo si collega una canonica a due piani con facciata a timpano. È stata anch'essa costruita in mattoni nel 1935. Sul lato posteriore della facciata a timpano è stato aggiunto un edificio moderno.
