Attorno al Lago di Salzgitter si snoda il sentiero Karl-Nestvogel. È possibile iniziare la facile escursione da ogni parcheggio e circumnavigare il lago. Il sentiero asfaltato è facilmente percorribile anche con maltempo! Numerosi punti di ristoro e aree giochi offrono varietà lungo il cammino.
