L'inizio della pista ciclabile Kinderland si trova a Schmallenberg presso il centro turistico e forestale. Durante il percorso si superano alcuni metri di dislivello, ma gli sforzi vengono ricompensati con splendide viste e molte esperienze lungo il tragitto. L'etichetta gialla di questo percorso ha il numero 1 (blu) e viene abbreviata dalla pista principale della Kinderland-Radroute tramite il percorso con il numero 3 (viola) a Ebbinghof. Durante il cammino le famiglie diventano esploratori. Aree giochi, stagni e vasche per pedalò invitano a una pausa divertente, i corsi d'acqua promettono rinfresco e buone occasioni per un tuffo. Ovunque avventurosa è la natura: animali lungo il cammino come cavalli, capre, asini e mucche. Con un po' di fortuna, è possibile ammirare anche cervi, cacciatori neri, aironi, daini o conigli per un breve momento.
