Le rovine della masia di Can Bassoles (Can Passoles secondo la cartografia consultata) si trovano nella Vall de la Sentiu. Nel medioevo era conosciuta come Mas de Fonts Noves, a causa di una piccola fonte che si trovava a pochi metri più in basso rispetto a dove si trova la costruzione. Già nel 1553 compaiono riferimenti sul proprietario di questa masia, Joan Serra del Mas de Fontnovas, appartenendo la casa alla famiglia Serra fino a circa il 1700. In quel periodo, Isabel Serra si sposa con Marian Bassoles, assumendo il nome del nuovo capofamiglia. Su alcune delle sue pareti possono essere visti pezzi di Opus Spicatum, costruzione a forma di spina di pesce.
