La Biblioteca e Casa-Museo Marcelino Menéndez Pelayo si trova nella città di Santander, in Cantabria. La biblioteca, composta da circa 42.000 volumi, apparteneva al famoso scrittore durante la sua vita, passando al Comune di Santander alla sua morte per testamentaria decisione.
La sua collezione bibliografica è composta da 1.032 manoscritti, documenti e corrispondenza di 17 legati di diversi autori, e 42.500 titoli stampati dei quali 22 sono incunaboli, 1.124 del sedicesimo secolo e 1.225 del diciassettesimo secolo. Il diciottesimo secolo è rappresentato da 2.839 titoli e il diciannovesimo e ventesimo da 35.260. A tutto ciò vanno aggiunti 870 titoli di periodici. L'anno 1912, con la morte di Menéndez Pelayo, ha chiuso il fondo.
