La cattedrale dedicata alla Vergine Maria di Plasencia, nella provincia di Cáceres, nel ovest della Spagna, nella comunità autonoma di Estremadura, è la sede dell'omonima diocesi, che esiste dal 1189. La cattedrale si trova su una collina sopra il Río Jerte, nel centro storico di Plasencia, sul versante sudoccidentale della catena montuosa iberica, a un'altitudine di circa 430 m.
