Background :
La chiesa fu consacrata nell'873 da Sigebod, arcivescovo di Narbonne, alla presenza di Golferic, abate del monastero di Saint Jacques de Joco, e dei conti Guifredo il Peloso, Miro I, Oliba II e Acfredo di Carcassonne Rasès, che la fecero costruire.
Fu consacrata nuovamente nel 1019, dopo un ampliamento da parte dell'arcivescovo di Narbonne Guifred.
