La Mosella (in tedesco: Mosel, in francese: Moselle) è un fiume in Francia, Lussemburgo e Germania (Stati federati di Saarland e Renania-Palatinato). Attraverso l'Our e la Sûre, porta anche tratti del Belgio nella Mosella e nel Reno. La Mosella nasce presso il Col de Bussang nei Vosgi a 735 metri di altitudine e sfocia dopo 544 chilometri a Coblenza nel Reno.
Il nome 'Mosella' deriva dal latino Mosella, una storpiatura del celtico Mosea. Mosella è un diminutivo del fiume Maas (latino: Mosa) che scorre parzialmente parallelo.
