Il ponte-diga di L'Escale si trova lungo il corso della Durance nelle Alpi dell'Alta Provenza tra i comuni di L'Escale sulla riva sinistra e Château-Arnoux-Saint-Auban sulla riva destra. Costruito tra il 1959 e il 1962, la diga di L'Escale è di tipo diga a gravità con accorgimenti in riempimento. È composta da una parte in cemento, alta 30 m, che sorregge il ponte, e da un argine lungo 610 m per una lunghezza totale di 760 m. Serve come presa d'acqua per alimentare la parte del canale EDF che sfocia nella centrale di Oraison, così come al canale di Manosque.
