Questo palazzo fu costruito nel XVII secolo da Leduc de la Falaise, valletto di Luigi XIV. In seguito, divenne proprietà di un Sieur de Bois-Hibout, a cui deve il suo nome.
Questo edificio, trasformato in gendarmeria nel XIX secolo, è noto anche come "Luogotenenza".
Sulla facciata sono visibili tracce di antiche aperture. Devono corrispondere a un'ala, perpendicolare all'edificio attuale, distrutta all'inizio del XX secolo. Questa parte è ancora visibile nelle vecchie cartoline.
Il maniero è costruito in pietra di Caen su un terreno sabbioso. Non ha fondamenta, ma poggia su muri larghi 2 metri.
