Dit herenhuis werd in de 17e eeuw gebouwd door Leduc de la Falaise, lijfknecht van Lodewijk XIV. Later werd het eigendom van een Sieur de Bois-Hibout, aan wie het zijn naam dankt.
Dit gebouw, dat in de 19e eeuw werd omgebouwd tot gendarmerie, staat ook bekend als de "Lieutenance".
Op de gevel zijn sporen van oude openingen te zien. Ze moeten overeenkomen met een vleugel, loodrecht op het huidige gebouw, die in het begin van de 20e eeuw werd verwoest. Dit deel is nog steeds zichtbaar op oude ansichtkaarten.
Het landhuis is gebouwd van Caen-steen op zandgrond. Het heeft geen fundamenten maar rust op 2 meter brede muren.
