Di proprietà del Conservatoire du Littoral della costa basca e gestito dal comune di Hendaye, il Domaine d'Abbadia è un sito naturale protetto di 65 ettari. Il CPIE (Centre Permanent d'Initiation à l'Environnement) accoglie il pubblico in questo ambiente di grande ricchezza paesaggistica ed ecologica: falesie frastagliate, brughiere con eriche e ginestre vaganti, prati, boschetti, frutteto di conservazione di varietà antiche e locali?
Riserva biologica e geologica classificata come area naturale sensibile (80 milioni di anni di storia!), il Domaine d'Abbadia può essere esplorato liberamente, a piedi e senza cani; è vietato qualsiasi tipo di campionamento. È possibile osservare una trentina di specie di uccelli nidificanti e orchidee rare, oppure partecipare a una delle numerose escursioni organizzate durante l'anno per scoprire la storia e i valori di questo sito eccezionale.
