Nel nord-est del dipartimento Lot-et-Garonne, nella valle della Lède, nel comune di Lacapelle-Biron, il borgo medievale di Saint-Avit ospita la casa natale di Bernard Palissy, ceramista, scienziato e scrittore rinascimentale. Il museo che porta il suo nome ospita un'esposizione permanente dedicata alla vita e all'opera di questo umanista, che il XIX secolo definì "il Leonardo da Vinci francese". Per rendere omaggio a questo artista d'avanguardia, ogni anno, da metà maggio a fine settembre, il museo presenta una mostra di opere di rinomati ceramisti contemporanei su un tema che cambia ogni anno. Nel 2026, dal 24 maggio al 4 ottobre, Brigitte MARIONNEAU e Gisèle BUTHOD-GARÇON saranno ospiti della mostra estiva. Sabato 8 e domenica 9 agosto, quaranta ceramisti parteciperanno alla 42ª Fiera della ceramica nel borgo medievale.
