Il Museo presenta i risultati di 50 anni di scavi effettuati nel lago di Sanguinet dal centro di ricerca (CRESS), su 5 siti archeologici, oggi sommersi. La loro presenza sott'acqua si spiega con la graduale formazione del lago negli ultimi tre millenni. La visita permette ai visitatori di scoprire quasi 450 oggetti e di comprendere meglio la vita delle persone che hanno vissuto sulle rive del lago per oltre 2000 anni. Progettato in connessione con l'ambiente, il tour mette in evidenza il patrimonio, l'archeologia subacquea e l'ambiente, intorno ai tre temi "Acqua, sabbia e uomo". Video e opuscoli consentono un approccio interattivo.
Il negozio del museo, aperto al pubblico, offre libri, fumetti, giochi, gioielli, articoli di cancelleria e magneti.
