Het museum presenteert de resultaten van 50 jaar opgravingen in het meer van Sanguinet door het onderzoekscentrum (CRESS), op 5 archeologische sites, die nu onder water liggen. Hun aanwezigheid onder water wordt verklaard door de geleidelijke vorming van het meer gedurende de laatste drie millennia. Het bezoek stelt de bezoekers in staat bijna 450 voorwerpen te ontdekken en het leven van de mensen die meer dan 2000 jaar aan de oevers van het meer leefden beter te begrijpen. De tocht is ontworpen in samenhang met het milieu en belicht erfgoed, onderwaterarcheologie en het milieu aan de hand van drie thema's: "Water, zand en mens". Video's en spelboeken zorgen voor een interactieve aanpak.
De museumwinkel, open voor het publiek, biedt boeken, strips, spelletjes, sieraden, schrijfwaren en magneten.
