Il Musée du Sel et des Traditions Béarnaises vi dà il benvenuto nella Maison Darremoundine. Situato nel cuore della città vecchia, il museo è un modo divertente per scoprire la storia della città e dell'acqua salata che l'ha fatta nascere.
Al piano terra si possono ammirare le collezioni archeologiche nel couloir du temps, l'officina del salinaro, ascoltare la storia dei part-prenants e ammirare il modello animato dell'antica Salies. Al primo piano, scoprite le terme di Salies e i loro aneddoti della Belle Epoque (fine del XIX secolo). All'ultimo piano, una sala dedicata alla geologia spiegherà le ricchezze del sottosuolo del Béarn e la presenza di sale nella zona tra i gaves.
