Il Musée de la Citadelle de Bourg (Museo della Cittadella di Bourg) si trova accanto al castello, caratterizzato da un'architettura neoclassica del XVIII secolo.
Nel XVI secolo, la cittadella di Bourg, una chiusa su Bordeaux, fu elevata al rango di cittadella inespugnabile grazie all'opera del Duca d'Épernon, della cui cavalleria sotterranea rimangono le vestigia che si possono scoprire durante le visite guidate. Si può anche scendere nel sottosuolo, dove le antiche cave di pietra sono diventate il cantiere per la costruzione delle impressionanti cisterne di petrolio in cemento armato, lunghe 70 metri, utilizzate durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
La collezione di carrozze trainate da cavalli, che vi verrà descritta in dettaglio durante le visite guidate, vi stupirà.
