Passeggiando per le sue stradine, il piccolo villaggio di Saint-Dyé vi farà scoprire il suo patrimonio architettonico e le sue rive della Loira. Del suo fiorente passato di porto trafficato (dove arrivavano i materiali da costruzione di Chambord), ha conservato graziose case del XV, XVI e XVII secolo, nonché una parte importante delle sue fortificazioni: sei torri angolari circolari (su quindici) e i bastioni che un tempo difendevano la città, il recinto rettangolare con i suoi tre ingressi.
