La chiesa gotica si trova al centro del villaggio. Il campanile si innalza solennemente nell'aria, e si potrebbe pensare che l'edificio del 1889 sia intoccabile. Tuttavia, nel novembre 1944, 35 granate colpirono la zona vicina, causando danni considerevoli. Solo quattro anni dopo, l'edificio che stava a cuore agli abitanti è stato restaurato. È stata la prima chiesa della diocesi a essere ricostruita dopo la guerra.
