La linea Maginot acquatica è la particolarità del nostro territorio in termini di torri militari. Gli stagni di Hoste, situati più a monte di questa linea, avevano la particolarità di essere utilizzati sia come bacini che come ostacoli. Lo stagno di Hoste-Bas rimane oggi l'unico ancora dotato del suo sistema di sifoni. La vicinanza del fortino di difesa della diga e un residuo dell'ex cimitero militare della Seconda Guerra Mondiale rendono Hoste un sito unico e imperdibile.
