The Aquatic Maginot line is the particularity of our territory in terms of military turmeric. The ponds of Hoste located furthest upstream on this line had the particularity of serving as both reservoirs and obstacles. The pond of Hoste-Bas remains today the only one still equipped with its siphon system. The proximity of the dyke's defence blockhouse and a remnant of the former World War II military cemetery make Hoste a unique and unmissable site.
