Il castello di La Chapelle d'Angillon è uno dei più antichi esempi di architettura militare del Cher, con il suo mastio costruito nel 1050. Questo castello era la residenza dei principi di Boisbelle e qui hanno vissuto due costruttori di cattedrali. In questo luogo aleggia ancora il ricordo del Grand Meaulnes e della Principessa di Cleves. Si dice anche che il grande Sully abbia costruito qui il suo regno. Il museo annesso al castello presenta uno studio sulla vita, le opere e i viaggi di Alain-Fournier e sull'esplosione artistica dell'inizio del XX secolo. Sono esposti modelli e foto ricordo.
