A est delle Landes, nel cuore di Labastide d'Armagnac, una delle più belle bastide del sud-ovest, si erge l'elegante silhouette di Château du Prada ai margini dell'Avenue de l'Armagnac
"Semplice, comodo e bello": così Victor Louis, architetto del Grand Théâtre di Bordeaux, descrisse la "dimora sul prato" che consegnò alla famiglia Bouglon nel 1764. Divenne la culla di una lunga e gloriosa stirpe di militari. Dalla locanda in cui soggiornò, in fuga da Parigi e dai suoi demoni, lo scrittore Barbey d'Aurevilly cercò la baronessa, il suo amore impossibile, il suo "angelo bianco". Dal momento in cui si varcano gli elaborati cancelli d'ingresso, un'atmosfera romantica pervade ancora il castello: scalone monumentale, collezioni di mobili antichi, splendidi caminetti? La visita prosegue nelle cantine, dove riposano i vecchi Armagnac.
Visita guidata dal 10 luglio al 31 agosto alle 15.00 tutti i giorni tranne il mercoledì.
