Costruito nel 1860 dall'architetto Hubert Fisbacq, questo ex mercato del grano è stato completamente trasformato in un teatro all'italiana nel 1906.
Inserito nell'inventario supplementare dei monumenti storici, il teatro di Saint-Dizier è stato sottoposto a un'importante opera di ammodernamento e ristrutturazione senza perdere nulla del suo carattere originale. L'arredamento degli anni '20 è stato restaurato. L'ingresso è ornato da sculture in ghisa del XIX secolo e la balconata proviene dalle fonderie di Saint-Dizier.
Dotato di attrezzature sceniche ad alte prestazioni e di una fossa orchestrale allargata, ora può ospitare 334 spettatori!
