Alla fattoria di Maillofargueix, i visitatori possono scoprire l'ecopascolo e le diverse razze di pecore in via di estinzione (Thônes et Marthod e Marron des Aravis della Savoia, Roux du Valais e Nez Noir della Svizzera vallesana, Rava del Puy de Dôme, Limousine e Limousine tipo "Baraqué") in un ambiente rurale e incontaminato tra le foreste e le brughiere dei Monts d'Ambazac. Una mini-fattoria didattica con altri animali (maiali, galline, asini, cavalli, ecc.) fa la gioia di grandi e piccini. La fattoria dispone anche di un cane da protezione del gregge. Le visite sono possibili per gruppi di almeno 10 persone tutto l'anno, solo su prenotazione.
