A 6 km da Remiremont, il villaggio di Saint-Amé deve il suo nome a Sant'Amé, monaco colombaniano che, insieme a San Romarico, fondò nel 620 il monastero di Saint-Mont. Questo monastero, luogo di nascita della futura Abbazia di Remiremont, si dice sia stato costruito su un antico oppidum gallo-romano. Con un'altezza di 675 m, il Saint-Mont offre una vista unica su Remiremont e le sue valli.
Il comune è attraversato da numerosi sentieri escursionistici che conducono alla foresta del Fossard, e comprende un sentiero accessibile a tutti, con la dicitura "turismo e disabilità", nei pressi dell'Etang du Miroir, nonché un sentiero di pesca con la dicitura "Cleurie".
