Op 6 km van Remiremont dankt het dorp Saint-Amé zijn naam aan Saint Amé, een Columban monnik die samen met Saint Romaric het klooster Saint-Mont stichtte in 620. Dit klooster, de geboorteplaats van de toekomstige abdij van Remiremont, zou gebouwd zijn op een oude Gallo-Romeinse oppidum. Met een hoogte van 675 m biedt de Saint-Mont een uniek uitzicht over Remiremont en zijn valleien.
De gemeente wordt doorkruist door een aantal wandelpaden die naar het bos van Fossard leiden, waaronder een voor iedereen toegankelijk pad met het label "toerisme en handicap" in de buurt van het Etang du Miroir, evenals een gemarkeerd vispad op de Cleurie.
