Ambiente caussenarde all'inizio del percorso, con una vegetazione calcarea (orchidee e corniolo sanguinello) e i muretti a secco che bordano i sentieri. Poi, avvicinandosi al castello di Livin, il calcare lascia il posto al "braciere", una bellissima arenaria dai riflessi biondi. Nei dintorni di Saint-Bazile-de-Meyssac, l'arenaria si tinge di un colore ocra e l'arrivo avviene alla stazione di Saint-Julien-Maumont.
