Per la sua posizione al confine con le Charentes, il comune di Donnezac si trova nella regione della Gabaye, che collega le antiche province della Saintonge e della Guyenne tra la lingua d'oil e la lingua occitana. Qui si sente ancora un dialetto ispirato al Saintongeais e all'occitano. Il territorio comunale è coperto per il 70% dalla foresta. Il pino marittimo domina ampiamente. In alcuni appezzamenti di terreno, quando la foresta non viene più sfruttata, la natura reclama i suoi diritti. Le betulle, i castagni e le querce crescono poi tra i pini per creare un bosco molto piacevole in tutte le stagioni

Prima di partire, vi consigliamo di scoprire la scuola (all'incrocio con Saint Savin/Reignac).

Particolarmente adatto per la mountain bike grazie ai numerosi passaggi nella foresta.
