Il GR5G, sentiero di grande escursione da Speyer (Germania) a Metz, attraversa il vecchio bacino minerario e poi l'altopiano della Lorena prima di raggiungere la capitale mosellana dopo un viaggio di 90 km. Che si tratti di una passeggiata, di un'escursione a cavallo o di una ciclabile, l'escursionismo si presenta in diverse forme sui GR.
