Solbach, adorabile villaggio di montagna situato ai piedi del Monte St-Jean, è arroccato su un contrafforte del massiccio del Champ du feu. Secondo la leggenda, è stato completamente distrutto durante la guerra dei Trent'anni. Di fronte a questo triste destino, gli abitanti si sono uniti per ricostruirlo più in alto nella valle, situata sotto il Monte St-Jean e la Perheux. Splendide fattorie monoblocco dei XVIII e XIX secolo sparse per il villaggio, testimoniano un'importante agricoltura di sussistenza.
