Prestbury è un villaggio e una parrocchia civile nel distretto di Cheltenham nel Gloucestershire, Inghilterra. Situato alla periferia di Cheltenham e fa parte del collegio elettorale di Tewkesbury.
Il nome del villaggio significa "Luogo fortificato dei sacerdoti", dall'anglosassone preost e burh, probabilmente da una casa padronale fortificata appartenente al Vescovo di Hereford nel XIII secolo. Il villaggio è menzionato come Preosdabyrig nel 899-904. Prestbury è elencato nel Domesday Book del 1086 come "Presteberie", parte della proprietà della chiesa di Hereford, con 18 villaggi, cinque piccoli agricoltori, un prete, un uomo a cavallo e 11 schiavi. Nel XIII secolo era diventato Presbery. Nel 1249 al Vescovo di Hereford fu concessa l'autorizzazione a tenere un mercato settimanale insieme a una fiera annuale di tre giorni in agosto.
