Braunton è un grande villaggio, parrocchia civile, parrocchia ecclesiastica e ex maniero nel Devon. Il villaggio si trova a 8 km a ovest di Barnstaple. È uno dei più grandi villaggi del Devon con una popolazione di 10.217 persone al censimento del 2021. Ci sono due distretti elettorali. La loro popolazione combinata al censimento di cui sopra era di 8.218 persone. All'interno della parrocchia si trova il fertile e pianeggiante Braunton Great Field, che si unisce ai ondulati Braunton Burrows, l'Area Core della Riserva della Biosfera del Nord Devon, la più grande psammosere in Inghilterra. Si affaccia sull'Oceano Atlantico a ovest della parrocchia, presso la grande spiaggia di Saunton Sands, una delle spiagge di surf di livello internazionale del Sud Ovest.
